Demolition of existing structure’s & Reduced Dig at East Gardens, Ditchling.

Following the site level in march the existing garage that stood on the site was demolished and a reduced dig of the building footprint was carried out to enable piling works to begin.

Pond removal & Site Level at East Gardens, Ditchling.

The early months of 2014 saw site at East Gardens transformed in preparation for the building works to take place throughout the summer. Site preparations involved  clearing out the existing pond floor (drained in feb 2013) and leveling the site.

Site Clearance & Tree Removal at East Gardens, Ditchling.

Following planning permission for our Zero Carbon, 2 bedroom house at East Gardens in Ditchling, work has begun to clear the site and remove tree’s.

South of England and Smallholders Trade show at Ardingly Showground

DPS Held their first stand at this years South of England & Smallholders Trade shows at the Ardingly show ground and found this to be very beneficial with a number of new works arising from it.

Archaeological Dig & Pond Clearance at East Gardens, Ditchling

DPS were to undertake an Archaeological Dig at the site at East Gardens in Ditchling to satisfy a pre commencement condition as it was believed there may be a roman road that travels through the land. No roman road was found and the condition was approved.

The pond on site had to be cleared and drained as part of the ecological enhancements to comply with ECO4 (Code for sustainable homes) as part of the CODE 6 application. A new pond is to be placed within the site of the same size.
